Scan&Go Mobile App T&Cs

The Scan&Go Mobile (“Scan&Go ”) is a mobile payment feature provided by Majid Al Futtaim Hypermarkets LLC (“We or “Us”) through the Carrefour QATAR mobile application to allow you to scan and pay for the purchase of certain items in our selected stores as notified by us from time to time.

By using Scan&Go you are indicating your agreement to the terms and conditions below(“Terms and Conditions”).

1. Use of Scan&Go

Scan&Go is available for iOS & Android operated devices through the Carrefour QATAR mobile application. To use Scan&Go you must login by using your Carrefour QATAR mobile application.

Once registered and logged in, you may use the Scan&Go to scan the items you wish to purchase.

We may update the Scan&Go automatically or ask you to update the Scan&Go to enhance the system, from time to time at our discretion. In the event that you choose not to accept such updates, you may face difficulty in or be unable to use the Scan&Go .

If a fault occurs in the Scan&Go , you should report it immediately to the nearest customer assistant and we will attempt to correct the fault within reasonable time.

2. Payment

You can pay for the selected items through the Scan&Go by using Apple pay, a credit card, or the store check-out area. Payments must be made in full before leaving the store.

In the event of any discrepancy between the price shown in the store and the price shown on the Scan&Go, please notify the nearest customer assistant

3. Exclusions

Electronic items, Tobacco, Gift Cards, SIM cards, manual price products, recalled items and any other products as nominated by us from time to time may not be purchased through Scan&Go. Scan&Go is available at all our stores in Qatar and any other selected stores as notified by us from time to time.

4. Service Review

We have the right, at our sole discretion and at any time, to review the items in your shopping bag or trolley and compare the items with your Scan&Go item list as well as re-scan all the items in your shopping bag or trolley.

5. Privacy Policy

We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes without your explicit consent and we only use your information as described in the Privacy Policy. We view the protection of your privacy as a very important community principle. We understand clearly that you and the Information is one of our most important assets. We store and process the Information on computers that are protected by physical as well as technological security devices. We use third parties to verify and certify our privacy principles.

6. Refunds, Returns and Exchanges

Our Refunds, Returns and Exchanges policy applies and forms a part of these Terms and Conditions.

7. Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold us and our affiliates harmless from and against any and all claims, damages, costs and expenses, including attorneys' fees, arising from or related to your use of Scan&Go or any breach by you of these Terms and Conditions and/or the applicable laws.

8. Limitation of Liability

Majid Al Futtaim Hypermarkets LLC or any of its affiliates, employees, directors, agents, or suppliers shall not be liable to you or to any other person for any direct or indirect losses or damages of any nature arising out of or in connection with the use of or inability to use the Scan&Go, including without limitation damages for loss of profit, the accuracy of results, loss of data, work stoppage, incompatibility/unsuitability/unreliability/inaccuracy of Scan&Go and any technical issues or failure or damage to your devices. Without prejudice to the generality of the section above, our total liability to you for all liabilities arising out of these Terms and Conditions is it in tort or contract is limited to the value of the items purchased by you. We make no representations or warranties about the accuracy, reliability, completeness, correctness, and/or timeliness of any content, information, software, text, graphics, links, or communications provided on or through the use of the Scan&Go feature or that the operation of the Scan&Go feature will be error-free and/or uninterrupted. Consequently, we assume no liability whatsoever for any monetary or other damage suffered by you on account of the delay, failure, interruption, or corruption of any data or other information transmitted in connection with use of the Scan&Go feature; and/or any interruption or errors in the operation of the Scan&Go feature. These Terms and Conditions are effective unless and until terminated by either you or us. We may terminate these Terms and Conditions at our discretion at any time and may do so immediately without notice, and accordingly deny your access to Scan&Go (through suspension or termination). Our right to any feedback shall survive any termination of these Terms and Conditions. Any such termination of these Terms and Conditions shall not affect any liability that may have arisen under these Terms and Conditions.

10. Amendment to the Terms and Conditions

We may at any time modify these Terms and Conditions of Scan&Go without any prior notification to you. You can access the latest version of the Terms and Conditions at any given time on Scan&Go. In the event the modified Terms and Conditions are not acceptable to you, you should discontinue using the service of Scan&Go. However, if you continue to use the service you shall be deemed to have agreed to accept and abide by the modified Terms and Conditions

11. Entire Agreement

If any part of these Terms and Conditions is determined to be invalid or unenforceable pursuant to applicable law including, but not limited to, the warranty disclaimers and liability limitations set forth above, then the invalid or unenforceable provision will be deemed to be superseded by a valid, enforceable provision that most closely matches the intent of the original provision and the remainder of these Terms and Conditions shall continue in effect. Unless otherwise specified herein, these Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between you and us with respect to Scan&Go and it supersedes all prior or contemporaneous communications and proposals, whether electronic, oral, or written, between you and us with respect to the Scan&Go. Our failure to act with respect to a breach by you or others does not waive its right to act with respect to subsequent or similar breaches.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

The Terms and Conditions shall be construed in accordance with the laws and regulations of Qatar. The Courts at Qatar shall have exclusive jurisdiction in any proceedings arising out of the Terms and Conditions.

Yes, you gain HyMax points while shopping using Scan & Go as you would on any transaction done at any Majid AlFuttaim Hypermarket or Supermarket when presenting your loyalty card. The only difference is that you are loyalty card has already been scanned at the beginning of your shopping journey to use Scan & Go so you will not need to rescan it thereafter.

How Do I Use a HyMax Coupon or savings with Scan & Go?
