All items available on www.Carrefourqatar.com are guaranteed to be original stock from the brand, the distributor, or the manufactory warehouse. They carry a limited original warranty from the brand or the distributor that protects them against any manufacturing default.
The warranty begins on the day that your item(s) is received (item delivery day) and lasts as per the brand’s Terms and Conditions (mentioned on the attached warranty).
Item(s) purchased on (www.carrefourqatar.com) can be taken to any Carrefour hypermarket in Qatar after-sales service for repair. Carrefour's after-sales service will facilitate your query but will not be held responsible for the brand’s commitment.
In case the product has defected on delivery, the after-sales service will decide whether the product should be replaced or repaired. However, repairs are not accepted under the following conditions:
· The defect is due to improper use (misuse, improper voltage, exposure to liquid, abuse or etc.…).
· The serial number on the product is unknown.
· The item has been opened & repaired by a third party.

Repair conditions

There is no warranty without proof of purchase and in case the product was not assembled by an agent.
· Any product requires a maximum of 15 days to be repaired from the day of delivery to Carrefour's after-sale service team.
· After the above-mentioned period an exchange / Refund voucher with the paid value will be given to the customer, only if he brings all items accessories

Extended Warranty Terms & Conditions

The Service Contract applies to parts and labor in respect of the product stated on the MAF Hypermarkets Service Contract Certificate (Invoice) for electrical and mechanical defects only.
This Service Contract extends the warranty for the period stated on the Service Contract Certificate (the “Term”) commencing on the date of expiration of the manufacturer's initial warranty period as stated on the manufacturer’s initial guarantee.

What is covered?

Customers can get the product repaired from authorized service centers, free of cost to its normal operating condition after it has suffered a covered failure (due to a defect in material or workmanship) during normal use. This Service Contract covers the labor, parts, and call-out charge necessary to repair the product subject to the exclusions listed below.

Product Eligibility:

A MAF Hypermarkets Service Contract may only be purchased at the time of sale of a product and only covers a product which:
Is purchased as new from one of MAF Hypermarkets Stores.
Has included at the time of purchase a manufacturer complete and original warranty valid in Qatar.
In the case of consumer products such as electronics and major appliances, the use is or has been limited to domestic and personal use. Office products such as facsimile machines and computers are covered for home and office use.

In the event of breakdown:

In order to be eligible under this service contract the customer should visit the store aftersales service, In 14 days from the occurrence If the product is within the service contract period, you must contact the customer service number 800-732. Repairs must only be carried out by authorized service centers of relevant products approved by MAF Hypermarkets.
In-home service will be provided for all types of major appliances except for any portable items (countertop microwave, ovens, televisions under 50”, portable Hi-Fi systems, Home PCs, etc.) which should be brought into the authorized service centers of relevant products approved by MAF or brought into the local Carrefour Store.
MAF Hypermarkets' original store invoice must be presented for all repairs to the covered product.
* If the breakdown is not covered by the service contract, the customer will be charged for the cost of the repair.
The customer should consult the manufacturer’s instructions to determine if the failure to operate is due to circumstances that may be corrected.

"Depreciation"

If Your claim results in a Replacement or Reimbursement, the value of this could be subject to depreciation depending on the time passed since Your Purchase of this Service Agreement. The maximum value will be the Original Purchase Price of the Covered Object less the depreciation.

• 12- 24 Month: 30 % From the original paid amount.
• 24- 36 Month: 40 % From the original paid amount.
• 36- 48 Month: 55 % From the original paid amount.

Note: The repair cost should not exceed the original unit value, in case it exceeds the customer must shoulder the difference.

Exclusions from the service contract:

Costs implicitly or explicitly covered by any manufacturers, suppliers, or repairers guarantee or warranty.
Non-operating and cosmetic damage such as damage to paintwork, product finish, dents or scratches, the equipment, and broken glass items.
Accessories used in or with the product unless covered under a separate extended warranty service contract. (For example, computer software, modem, scanner, printer, and charger).
Replacement of any consumable item or accessory. These include, but are not limited to plugs, fuses, batteries, light bulbs, light covers, cables, filters, attachments, belts, toner, ribbons, drums, tapes, or software, and add-on options incorporated in a product for which this contract was purchased.
Normal wear and tear of items not integral to the functioning of the product.
Routine maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, adjustments or alignments, overhaul, modification, and de-scaling.
Damage caused by unauthorized repair, theft, burglary, and accident including earthquake, storm and or hurricane, abuse, misuse, sand, water, negligence, fire, flood, lightning, malicious damage, impact, corrosion, battery leakage, acts of God, animal or insect infestation or intrusion.
Damage resulting from a power outage, power surges or dips, fluctuating voltage, or improper voltage or current.
Reception or transmission problem resulting from external causes.
Problems or defects not covered under the manufacturer’s initial guarantee.
Batteries are internal or external to the product.
Breakdowns are caused by computer viruses or realignments to products, Recalls, or modifications to the product.
Failure to follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
Costs arising from incorrect installation, modification, or maintenance.
Costs if no fault is found with the product.
Costs arise from being unable to use the Product or from damage that results from the Breakdown of the Product.
Commercial usage except product used in rental property, as identified in the Service Contract Certificate.

Limitation of liability:

MAF Hypermarkets shall not be responsible for any loss or damage to a person or property, direct, consequential, or incidental damages arising from the use of or inability to use the product to the extent that the law may disclaim such. This service contract does not cover any defects which are subject to a manufacturer’s recall or which are covered under a manufacturer’s program or reimbursement.

This service contract is only valid in Qatar:

In the event of theft, repossession, fraud, or resale to another party, the service contract will be canceled by MAF Hypermarkets. Upon sale or transfer of ownership of the covered product, this service contract may be assigned to another party by contacting the hotline number detailed on the service contract certificate.
MAF Hypermarkets is entitled, at its sole discretion, to replace the product with the same or similar product rather than to repair the product. The retail value of the replacement will not exceed the purchase price that was actually paid by the customer. Once a warranted product has been replaced, the customer’s coverage under this Service Contract will end immediately with no refund. Following such settlement, the original defective product will become the property of MAF Hypermarkets. Any amount unpaid pursuant to the terms of this Service Contract at the time of replacement shall become due and payable to MAF Hypermarkets.

Cancellations:

Cancellation of this Service Contract may be made by the purchaser within fourteen (14) days of the service contract application date for any reason by mailing or delivering to MAF Hypermarkets an advance notice of cancellation and the original MAF Hypermarkets Service Contract Certificate.
MAF Hypermarkets may cancel this service contract by giving fourteen (14) days' notice in writing to the customer's last known address. MAF Hypermarkets will refund the purchaser an amount in respect of the remaining full months of warranty cover pro-rata to the original price of the cover.

Conditions:

The customer must purchase this contract at the time of sale of the product.
The product is purchased new from MAF Hypermarkets and has a manufacturer’s warranty.
The product is for personal domestic use only.
This contract is only available on carry-in products.
Product failure must be due to normal usage

If the product is replaced, the defective product becomes MAF HYPERMARKET's property. Customer statutory rights are not affected.
What to do if your product breaks down:
The customer must report the problem to us within five (5) days.
Check the manufacturer’s instructions and make sure the controls are properly set.
Ensure it isn’t something you can correct yourself, such as scaling, a blockage, or a blown fuse.
Bring the faulty product to your nearest store. The original receipt will be required for a replacement to be provided.
A member of MAF HYPERMARKET's staff will check the fault and when confirmed, authorize an immediate replacement.

Fraud:

All benefits of this service contract are lost if a fraudulent declaration or claim is made.

How do I get the copies of my invoices?

The order confirmation you have received by email is the document confirming your purchase. This document will be requested in case of a refund/exchange along with the delivery note.

How many years is the warranty of the Product?

Most electronics products are covered with one year warranty. However, there is no warranty on accessories like free items, batteries, chargers, brushes, hoses, etc.

The extended warranty cannot be purchased separately. It can only be purchased together with a product. Once you add an item to your shopping cart, a pop up will appear to add this service to your purchase.

What are your repair conditions?

There is no warranty without proof of purchase (order confirmation and delivery note). Any product requires a maximum of 30 days to be repaired, after that period; an exchange voucher amounting the paid value will be given to the customer. There is NO warranty on accessories (batteries, chargers, brushes, hoses …).Items subject to supplier home delivery like TV’s and big appliance are entitled to on-site maintenance in conjunction with our supplier services.
